The No.1 perfumery and cosmetic exhibition in Ukraine InterCHARM annually
brings together the beauty industry under one roof to introduce the novelties of
the market to the key Ukrainian & CIS countries beauty professionals.
The 4th edition of InterCHARM Ukraine took place on February 9-11, 2006 in the
exhibition center KievExpoPlaza. InterCHARM Ukraine played host to 450
companies, out of which 128 international ones that presented 21 countries of
the world. Among them Italy, Turkey, Germany, Poland, Russia, Republic of
Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, The Netherlands, U.A.E., India, Lithuania, Latvia,
Switzerland, France, Hungary, the USA, United Kingdom. The exhibition
welcomed 42000 international and local visitors, 33000 in 2005 to compare.
Each year the exhibition increases its space by 20%. The net exhibition area
amounted 6582 sq.m. this year.
The exhibition organized by Cosmetic Expo Media and Staraya Krepostcosmetic
marketing (the members of Global Beauty Network organization) and
supported by Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ukraine, All-Ukrainian
Association of Specialists on Aesthetic Applied and Ukrainian Marketing
Organization appeals to the distributors, wholesalers, retailers, producers of
perfumery & cosmetics, suppliers of raw materials, packaging and machinery,
specialists in professional beauty and all those, interested in the latest
achievements of beauty industry.
As always the exhibition had a strong international participation. The number of
countries increased twice.
Domestic participation also remained strong. The well-known brands as L’Oreal
Professionel (L’Oreal Ukraine), Schwarzkopf Professional (Schwarzkopf &
Henkel), Antonio Banderas, Naomi Cambell, Cindy Crawford, Marc O’Polo,
Artdeco (Hexagone), Gi-Gi (Ecologique), Thalgo (Samir Center) were
represented at InterCHARM Ukraine.
Exhibitors highly estimated the organization of the exhibition, quality and quantity
of visitors.
The ZOOM section- zone of the latest achievements and novelties of perfumery
and cosmetic market became a tradition at InterCHARM Ukraine. The new
brands as niche product for foot care Sholl, cosmetics that looks like a food
White Cottage, the latest American achievement 2 in 1 Spongeables with
different supplements and the handmade products Lux’One from the domestic
manufacturer found their sophisticated customers.
Each year InterCHARM Ukraine provides the professionals with the rich
concurrent program. In the framework of the exhibition 15 professional events
were held.
IV International Conference on Aesthetic Applied - 2 day professional event
that introduced the latest achievements and modern technologies in cosmetology
and plastic surgery.
II Conference Beauty Salon Management - special educational event for beauty
salons' top-managers. The participants of the Conference discussed the work
organization, staff training, clients’ attraction, strategies of business development,
advertisement in the beauty salons.
IV International Conference Ukrainian Cosmetic Industry was focused on the
effective strategies of products and services promotion, dynamic market
development and work experience of the leading companies. The avid interest
was shown to the reports “Advertisement of Cosmetics & Perfumery in TV.
Efficiency and its Estimation” made by Svetlana Kalinina, “ Establishment of
Corporate Service Standards” by Marina Pervushina, “New Media in Brand
Communication” by Elena Boltina and “Pharmaceutical Cosmetics Distribution”
by Irina Kudryavchenco.
II Conference New Ingredients and Technologies for Perfumery and
Cosmetic Manufacturing was addressed to quality directors, technologist of
perfumery and cosmetic producers, raw materials suppliers.
The traditional well-known hairdressing show in Ukraine YOU Professional
Show with Wella Day were held in the framework of the exhibition. 14 creative
teams from 5 countries represented the new tendencies and trends of the season
spring-summer 2006.
WELLA Day and the Final of WELLA Trend Vision Award 2006 were conducted
by YOU Professional magazine and WELLA-Ukraine Company. The hairdressers
saw the following master classes prepared by:
- Winners of the National competition Wella Trend Vision Award 2003/2004 Mrs.
Liliya Severinenko and Mr.Sergey Rudnev;
- Ukrainian top-stylist Mrs.Elena Stanislavchuk;
- The President of Intercoiffure of the Eastern Europe Countries, top-stylist
Mr.Vyacheslav Dudenko.
For the first time the Fitness Conference was held in the framework of the
exhibition. The conference was visited by the renowned boxing champion Vitaliy
Klichko and Olympic gymnastics champion Ekaterina Serebryanskaya that
shared their experience of fitness centers opening.
Training Course Massage Kaleidoscope has shown the interest of the
masseurs to the massage techniques of International schools as Japanese
school of Yumeyho therapy, Indian school of Ayurveda medicine, American
school of holistic medicine and so on.
Nail Service Studio – 3-day lectures, seminars and master-classes of nail art
specialists.
It became a tradition to find many contests in the framework of the exhibition as
BeautyNails Championship, Hair Extension Contest, International Festival
TATTOO COLLECTION, Body Art Contest.
Many new companies have shown an avid interest in the Ukrainian market
reflecting the positive development of the Ukrainian beauty industry and the
enormous opportunities available for companies looking to expand their business
into new markets.
Welcome to the next anniversary edition of InterCHARM Ukraine, held on
February 8-10, 2007.
